Novgorod: Neue Bürger

Bring new citizens and church building to Novgorod — or a hometown of your own. Add sixteen citizens to the base game and place them in cities you visit to increase the income from later visits. Three citizens are replaced by patricians, which provide seals when luxury goods are produced in their towns. Players who do not contribute to church building in their hometown lose points during final scoring. Earlier donations cost less, but tie up money needed during the opening turns.
