The Glorious Guilds of Buttonville

Players take the role of rival guild masters recruiting villagers—inventors, traders, guards and other quirky townsfolk—to repopulate a deserted village. Each round, players draw two cards either from an open market or blindly from the deck and add them to their hand. Collecting sets of matching villagers and then playing those sets triggers immediate effects, creates synergies with later plays, and scores victory points; larger sets produce stronger effects. A modular market and a pool of distinct villager cards change setup and strategy each game, while timing and card probabilities determine the most effective plays.
