A simplified fantasy card game designed for new players. Players summon creatures and cast spells to reduce an opponent’s life total, with fewer complex abilities and fewer effects played during another player’s turn than in the standard game. The streamlined rules place greater emphasis on deploying creatures and resolving straightforward spell effects. The setting and card themes vary by edition, including a Chinese-inspired historical setting in one release.
