A powerful merchant hires a party of 2nd- to 3rd-level adventurers to enter the strange chambers beneath his mansion and repair a piece of machinery. The simple assignment becomes more dangerous when creatures from the lower planes appear, raising questions about the machine and the merchant’s true intentions.
