Play emphasizes the interaction of long-range air power and slower naval and ground movement, with fuel, convoy protection and transport capacity shaping operational choices. The game uses a compact counter set and rules that model carriers, amphibious assaults and supply concerns to recreate the operational dilemmas faced by the historical commanders, while remaining playable in about five hours.
