The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game

Pelaajat tekevät yhteistyötä sankareista koostuvana seurueena ja rakentavat liittolaisista, tapahtumista ja liitteistä koostuvia pakkoja selvitäkseen Tolkienin Keski-Maahan sijoittuvista skenaarioihin perustuvista seikkailuista. Jokaisella kierroksella pelaajat määräävät sankareita ja liittolaisia suorittamaan tehtävää, kohtaamaan vihollisia, puolustamaan tai hyökkäämään. Samalla heidän on hallittava rajallisia resursseja ja käytettyjä kortteja tasapainottaakseen tehtävän etenemistä ja kasvavien uhkien käsittelyä. Peli tukee valmiiksi rakennettuja ja itse rakennettuja pakkoja sekä yksittäisiä skenaarioita tai toisiinsa liittyviä kampanjoita, joissa päätöksillä on pysyviä seurauksia. Laajennukset tuovat lisää skenaarioita, sankareita ja pelaajakortteja, jotka lisäävät pelin kestoa ja vaihtelua.
