This two-player wargame covers the Allied landings in Normandy and the campaign through June 1944. One side commands the Allied invasion and subsequent buildup, using control of the sea and air to expand the beachheads and push through the hedgerows toward objectives such as Caen and Cherbourg. The other deploys German formations and reserves, seeking to contain the landings, delay the Allied advance, and avoid a wider collapse. Players resolve the initial beach assaults, reinforcement race, and fighting across the Normandy countryside.
