Players cooperatively build a communal soup by playing vegetable cards from their personal deck and verbally declaring which vegetable they add to the pot. Cards come in four vegetable types and special taboo cards marked with a cockroach; play proceeds by revealing the top card of a player’s deck and announcing the vegetable aloud. Certain situations force players to lie, slurp, or change the pile: matching the previous vegetable or the previous claim requires lying; playing a taboo card triggers a slurp and starts a new visible pile; matching a visible taboo card triggers a slurp or a set phrase depending on prior play. Mistakes or hesitations force a player to pick up the current cards. The first player to empty their deck wins.
