Pompeji

Players build the city of Pompeii in a 7x7 grid using cards showing building types, numbers, and colors. The same building types and colors cannot be placed horizontally or vertically adjacent. As the grid develops, horizontal, vertical, and diagonal streets form. Players score when a newly placed card matches other cards along up to four streets, earning points for matching colors or the combined values of matching buildings. Placing the seventh building in a street grants a bonus. Special cards allow an extra or out-of-turn placement, while a statue acts as a wild card. The game ends when the second volcano card is revealed.
