Retro Stations
From publisher blurb: Guardian HQ & Saturn-class defense platform - space station maps This next installment of the 0-hr "Retro" collection presents a pair of space stations that would be at home in a vintage story or a more typical sci-fi campaign. Guardian Headquarters is a small asteroid-base, and the Saturn-class defence platform is a ring-shaped station with a central sphere. Both are built with "down" toward the bottom of the structure. Based on the larger Lochlyn IX design, Guardian HQ has a standard occupancy of 60. Though heavily armed with Titan-class laser turrets, Nova Missiles, and the dreaded Mega Cannon, it was built mainly for observation, administration, and strategic planning. From here, the gallant officers of the United Earth Planetary Defence Force coordinate the fight against alien incursions. Every Saturn-class defense platform carries 26 crew as well as half a dozen Astrojet spacefighters. These outposts protect the far reaches of the solar system and key points throughout. Using captured alien tech, the design boasts a quartet of capital-sized disintegration rays, all powered by an exotic aetheric engine core. Renders of an alien version of the station are also included. The Retro Stations issue contains several highly detailed PDF files and images: • Main Book - 33 page PDF file detailing the interior areas of the stations. - Contains 3D rendered scenes as well as orthographic views. - Background, art, and text are on different layers for custom display and printing. • Map Pages - 80 total pages of PDF files containing complete interior maps at 1 inch = 5 ft scale. - Divided into pages for printing. - Selectable layers include a 1-inch grid and optional cargo/vehicles. • Uncut Map Images - Three layered PDF files containing large images of the deckplans. - Plus giant 48x36, 27x36, and 27x37 inch jpeg images of the maps. Text-free, grid-aligned, on a dark background for better VTT use. • Starfinder (1E) Statistics - Guardian HQ is tier 10 using a cruiser frame with the station modification. - The Saturn-class is tier 10 using a destroyer frame with the station modification. - The Astrojet spacefighter is a tier 3 interceptor.
