Mercurial

Players arrive at a frontier settlement in a strange, post‑cataclysmic land and play mages who relearn spellcrafting in an environment where elements fuse unpredictably. The game uses card and dice manipulation: players roll elemental dice, apply alteration techniques to reroll or combine results, and build combos and engines that turn basic magicks into novel spells. Created spells are used to tackle tasks—combat beasts, heal allies, guide travelers—and to advance individual development on asymmetric player boards. Variable starting capabilities and resource paths give each player distinct strategic avenues as they explore and expand their magical repertoire.

This dethroned Cascadia as my go-to beat-your-score puzzle. Multiplayer is pretty neat too (lots of opportunities for hate-drafting).
