Sun Tzu

Two opposing commanders contest provinces across ancient China by assigning cards to locations each turn and revealing them one province at a time. Players add or remove armies based on higher-valued cards and special single-use effects, timing key cards to gain local advantage. A central scoring marker shifts like a tug-of-war as provinces are resolved; moving it to the far end or surviving nine rounds ends the campaign. Thematic events and card management shape strategic deployment rather than direct combat, emphasizing timing, bluffing, and incremental territorial control.

A highly recommended area control game for two folk, with a lot of outguessing the opponent. Fast and fun, with some "meat" included. See my review for more details...
