Bureau of Investigation: Indagini ad Arkham e Altrove

I giocatori vestono i panni di agenti di un’agenzia federale negli anni ’20 e indagano su casi paranormali legati al Mito di Cthulhu. Il gioco manda le squadre a Boston, Arkham e in altre località per seguire piste, interrogare testimoni, raccogliere indizi e compiere azioni investigative in cinque scenari collegati. Si tratta di un’esperienza cooperativa di deduzione basata sul sistema di Sherlock Holmes Consulente Investigativo, con nuove meccaniche e colpi di scena che cambiano il modo in cui vengono gestiti prove, tempo e conseguenze.

Our group has completed and loved all 4 Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective boxes, so this was a guaranteed purchase for us. Overall, it was a good experience, but the stories aren't as captivating as the ones in SHCD. Also, we're not too familiar with the Cthulhu universe, so we sometimes struggled with the leaps of logic. However, we did appreciate how different each case felt! Our scores: Case 1 - 6/7 points (An okay case, but not too memorable or interesting.) Case 2 - 7/7 points (Most similar case to SHCD, and probably our favorite.) Case 3 - 7/7 points (Very creative case but we felt stuck several times.) Case 4 - N/A (We liked the case as it was unique, but what to do at the end was unclear.) Case 5 - 7/7 points (While we figured this one out pretty quickly, the story was one of the weakest.) If I had to rank them, it would be case 2 > 4 > 5 > 3 > 1.
