Caverna: Cave vs Cave – The Big Box

Two players each manage a small dwarven excavation in the side of a mountain and expand it over eight rounds. Players place and reveal action tiles, alternate taking an increasing number of actions each round, and use workers to dig new rooms, build structures, and mine precious metals. Individual boards start with hidden building/room tiles that enter the market as spaces are excavated; some rooms activate immediately while others require specific action tiles. Resources such as ore, grain, and fibers fund construction and production, and donkeys and new worker types introduced in the expansion enable ore transport, smelting, and forging. After eight rounds, players score for buildings and gold to determine the winner.
