Codex: Card-Time Strategy – Core Set

I giocatori scelgono e giocano carte che rappresentano eroi, unità e incantesimi mentre sviluppano un albero tecnologico e costruiscono un esercito per assaltare la base avversaria. Ogni giocatore controlla tre eroi ed espande le opzioni disponibili sbloccando rami tecnologici, quindi aggiunge carte al proprio mazzo di pesca durante la partita per personalizzare la strategia al volo. La partita ruota attorno alla gestione delle risorse, al posizionamento delle unità e alla scelta del momento giusto per giocare le carte, così da sopraffare le difese e distruggere la base nemica.

Awesome card game with a unique deck-building system: you take your card from your codex (or binder with your colour cards). A bit MTG, a bit tactical combat, a bit Dominion, but unique, great and very strategic. Love it

Strategy card game with some really interesting twists. PROS - The resource system is great, no mana flood or mana screw situations and it filters your deck. - For experienced players, building strategies and counter-strategies feels amazing. The whole concept is wonderful as you always have answers to your opponent and not two games should feel the same. - With all the material, the combinations feel endless. CONS - The first plays are awkward even if you are a card game player, due to its big differences with the classic games in the genre. - It requires some serious dedication from the players to not feel slow, as they should know and understand the cards in their binder. Competing with many other 1vs1 asymmetric card games, it totally feels like a lifestyle game. Not really enjoyable otherwise.
