Mutants

Players assemble and field genetically modified fighters to contest an arena over five rounds, scoring points by dominating the track and freezing valuable mutants into their archive. Each round, players take turns until all hands are exhausted; the token nearest the top of the arena track at round end scores Victory Points, and archived mutants grant additional prestige after the fifth round. On a turn, a player check for any end-of-turn contest resolution, moves their Active Mutant left or right (triggering the Leave ability of the replaced card), then chooses one action: Deploy a mutant from hand to the Active slot, Breed to draw a new mutant for the current round, or Incubate to prepare a mutant for the next round. A solo variant pits the player against a boss whose life is reduced by points that would otherwise be scored.
