Crossing Oceans

Players expand and manage merchant fleets during the turn-of-the-century shift from sail to steam. Acquire and deploy fifty historic steamships, develop ports, coal bunkers and trading posts, and plan routes for profitable transports. Contracts offer multiple uses, and each turn players either place ships or take contracts and select actions via a rondel to upgrade capabilities, claim ports, and compete for trade dominance and the Blue Riband on the North Atlantic. The game adapts elements from an earlier design into a rondel-driven economic and route-building experience on a large historical map.
