Enemy Coast Ahead: Operation Chastise – The Dambuster Raid

Players recreate a World War II RAF squadron tasked with breaching German dams in a night raid. The game covers campaign-level organization—recruiting and training crews, modifying Lancasters, managing ground crew and reconnaissance—and tactical mission play where each bomber and crew are represented by counters. During missions players plan routes, form waves, and fly low-level attack runs facing flak, searchlights, balloons, nightfighters and navigation hazards. Attacks use target maps to resolve altitude, speed, distance and angle for dropping the bouncing mine; success depends on precise approach and timing. Scenarios offer shorter focused engagements, while the full campaign spans preparation, the raid and post-raid damage assessment.
