Sylvion

Un elementale impazzito vuole bruciare una foresta incantata inviando ondate di attaccanti basati sul fuoco lungo quattro corsie. I giocatori scelgono e costruiscono un mazzo, poi si difendono giocando carte nelle file, sotto forma di difese statiche come alberi e fontane oppure di animali che producono effetti immediati e manipolano i mazzi nemici. Le carte vengono giocate dalla mano pagando con altre carte, creando un rompicapo di gestione della mano e costruzione del mazzo mentre si affrontano ondate successive di attaccanti. L’obiettivo è mantenere intatto il cuore della foresta fino alla fine di tutte le ondate; il gioco offre una modalità introduttiva, una modalità avanzata e ulteriori opzioni di sfida tramite espansioni e contenuti dell’appendice.

Scoring thanks to lines42 At the end of the game you score points: +1 point for each Edge card on its Bloom side. +1 point for each unspent vitality point (as per Tree cards) on the battlefield. -1 point for each Edge card on its Desolated side. -1 per Ravage card in the Ravage stacks, except if you win by an Extraordinary Feat card´s ability, then: +1 per Ravage card in the Ravage stacks. A score of 12 or more points is a win. Note that in theory you can score 12+ points even if you lose the game, but that is hard to pull off, so I wouldn´t mind counting it as a special-reward "win". Abbreviations used to report game scores: IN = Introductory game AD = Advanced game I = Expansion I II = Expansion II R = Ravage

I really wanted to like this more than I did. This is probably the prettiest Oniverse game, but I have found it very difficult and have not been able to win it yet.

I only keep playing to see if I can beat it. Otherwise being mercilessly spanked every time I flip the fire deck is just too much after a tough day of work.
