Tank Chess

Players command formations of light, medium and heavy tanks, tank destroyers, and heavy mortars across a square board, aiming to either destroy the opponent’s Command Tank or escort their own Command Tank to the far side of the board. Units have facing, asymmetric armor values (stronger at the front, weaker at the rear) and distinct movement and firing profiles, so positioning and orientation determine who can fire and what armor is exposed. Terrain and obstacles block line of sight and alter movement, while destroyed vehicles leave rubble that permanently changes the battlefield.
