Command Eighth Air Force bomber and fighter groups in the European air war of WWII, planning and launching strategic bombing missions to reduce Germany’s ability to wage war. Players organize historic bomber and escort fighter groups, assign targets such as airfields, factories, oil refineries, U-boat pens and V-weapon sites, and manage reconnaissance, technologies, and secondary missions that shift Axis forces across theaters. Luftwaffe squadrons and German commanders generate interception and defensive responses; units gain experience, suffer losses, and can be replenished or reassigned over a multi-campaign, month-by-month campaign timeline. The game resolves sorties, air combat, flak damage, and production effects to determine strategic victory points and the progress of the Allied advance.
