Players explore a modular galaxy, send ships to discover planetary systems, and found colonies to score victory points. Resource production depends on explored planets and dice rolls, while market trades and goods let players convert resources without relying on road networks. Encounters with alien races, pirates and wormholes introduce special effects and interaction as players expand; NPC races can grant ongoing bonuses if reached early. Players also negotiate trades, equip ships with upgrades, and manage hand-limited cards that change with score level, balancing exploration, resource set‑collection and tactical conflict to build a winning spacefaring civilization.
