Everdell: The Complete Collection

A tableau-building game in which players develop a woodland city by placing critters and constructions, collecting resources, and playing cards to score points. Expansions add new locations and challenges: mountain expeditions, underwater sites, seasonal festivals, and hazardous forests, plus asymmetric player powers, unique critter meeples, giant mounts, and automated opponents for solo or cooperative play. Components include varied resource tokens, specialty pieces such as glass pearls and metal point tokens, and a wooden tree board that structures turns and seasons. Setup and actions remain straightforward while offering strategic choices across multiple modules collected in this boxed edition.

Base game is average. Pretty repetitive and cards don't have peculiar characteristics. As visually stunning as repetitive and boring. Also, this box is just...stupidly huge. A couple decent expansion which do what an expansion is supposed to do - enhancing the gameplay in a functional way (Newleaf and Bellfaire) - plus a couple that uselessly clutter the game mechanics with unnecessary additional hassles (Pearlbrook and Spirecrest), a bunch of pretty promo packs, a plethora of unnecessary meeples (stickers are horrible btw) and some stupidly cumbersome tree and 3d elements. Overall a huge letdown. After the 3rd play you realize that beyond the awesome graphic lies a shallow, repetitive gameplay that offers little to no variability and leaves you unsatisfied.

ルールに関する質問

Ludoyaのルールアシスタントがルールブックに基づいて回答しています。

Can I place more than one of my workers on the same space or on a Forest location?

Shared locations can hold multiple workers — even multiple of the same color — while exclusive locations allow only one worker; additionally you may not place two of your own workers on a single Forest location (and in 2–3 player games many Forest spots only have room for one worker). (page 8)

If a Construction lets me play a Critter for free, do I still pay its cost or do anything special?

You may play the Critter for free if its listed Construction is already in your city, but you must place an "Occupied" token on that Construction when you do so (you can use each Construction this way only once), and the token stays even if the free Critter is later removed. (page 10)

When do Production (green) cards activate — only when I prepare for a season or also when I play them?

Green Production cards activate once immediately when played and then again during Prepare for Season in spring and autumn (summer gives no seasonal Production, though green cards still activate immediately if played in summer). (pages 11, 13)

If I play a card from the Meadow, when is that Meadow space refilled?

When a Meadow card is played you immediately replace it with a new card from the draw pile; if an ability draws cards from the Meadow, draw all applicable cards first and then replenish. (page 11)

If I achieve an Event and later lose the required cards from my city, do I lose the Event?

No — achieved Events are placed beside your city for scoring and you do not have to return them if the cards that satisfied the Event are later removed. (page 9)

How are ties resolved at the end of the game?

If players are tied in points, the player who achieved the most Events wins; if still tied, the player with the most leftover resources wins. (page 14)
