La Batalla de Can Vies

A street battle in Barcelona’s Sants district during the 2014 conflict over the attempted eviction of the Can Vies social center. This asymmetric strategy game pits public institutions against social movements. Players direct police, political, and media forces, or coordinate the crowds in the streets, competing to demolish or protect Can Vies while managing popularity and the possible spread of the conflict across Barcelona and beyond. Cards generate events, while dice and strategic resource management shape the outcome for 2–6 players.
