A near‑future conventional war in and around northern Vietnam and the South China Sea, played at division/brigade and squadron/task‑force scale. Players command PRC and Vietnamese ground formations, air squadrons, and naval task forces to fight over coastal islands, sea lanes, and the mountainous jungle along the northern border. Turns resolve weather, initiative, air/naval phases, movement and combat, reinforcement arrival, and victory checks; advanced rules add special operations, strikes (air, cruise missile, artillery/SSM), and expanded phasing. Combat factors include attack/defense strength, movement, and unit efficiency, while terrain and weather strongly affect operations. Multiple scenarios cover limited actions and full campaigns, and combined‑game options link with other titles in the series for a wider Pacific front.
