1848年のイベリア半島を舞台に、プレイヤーは看護師、鉄道員、地方医師、船乗りなどの専門職を担い、マラリア、チフス、黄熱病、コレラの流行を食い止めます。 プレイヤーは馬車、船、列車で都市間を移動し、病気キューブを治療したり、浄化された水を配布したり、鉄道路線を建設したりしながら感染拡大を抑え、協力して治療法の発見を目指します。 2つの選択ルールでゲームプレイを変更できます。1つは病院に押し寄せる患者を増やし、病院の能力を強化するもの。もう1つは、史実に登場する各病気に固有の能力を与え、よりテーマ性の高い挑戦を楽しめるものです。

Mohasz8.5 Our first game was incredibly close (we won), down to the very last card. It was one of my favorite board gaming experiences. I like the changes and look of this version very much, and there's a couple of nice variants in the box as well, so I don't feel the need to own the original Pandemic anymore.
