Silver Bayonet: The First Team in Vietnam, 1965

A company-level wargame covering the 1965 battle between a North Vietnamese Army division and the newly deployed U.S. 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam’s Central Highlands. Players command forces across rugged jungle terrain as American units use transport helicopters, air support, and resupply operations while North Vietnamese units employ hidden positions, limited intelligence, and surface-to-air missiles. The game uses one-day turns, one-mile hexes, and company-sized units. Twelve scenarios range from a 5–30 minute introductory game to advanced and campaign scenarios lasting up to 20 hours.
