Silver Bayonet: The First Team in Vietnam, 1965 (25th Anniversary Edition)

A tactical-operational simulation of the November–December 1965 Ia Drang Valley campaign between US Air Cavalry forces and a North Vietnamese Army division. Players command maneuver units, establish landing zones, conduct air and artillery support, and resolve combat through an integrated system that combines maneuver, close assault, bombardment, gunship and air sorties. The game models patrols, ambushes and brigade headquarters command, while modified movement, combat and coordination rules reflect the differing strengths and weaknesses of the two forces. This edition streamlines the original system and adjusts scenarios and mechanics to better match primary and secondary source research without changing the core operational structure.
