Players guide beetles through their life cycle, managing resources and planning actions with personal action tiles that resolve simultaneously. Beetles advance along trait tracks and onto card mats and concentric ring spaces on the board while players pursue personal and shared objectives to score points. The central ring rotates each round to change available positions, and when two or more beetles reach the final stage a social-deduction showdown occurs; after five showdowns players tally points to determine the winner.
