An Impossible War: The First Carlist War in the North, 1834-1838

Two players contest the First Carlist War in northern Spain using blocks, counters and a card-driven system. A large map depicts Navarre, the Basque Provinces and adjacent provinces, with a secondary map for uprisings and expeditionary operations elsewhere in the country. Playable scenarios cover the full 1834–1838 conflict and shorter campaigns focused on the 1834–1836 and 1836–1838 phases. Players maneuver block units, resolve battles with counters and cards, and conduct uprisings and expedition actions across the maps.
