Players reopen a previous campaign of investigations that began with missing professors and expanded from rural Dunwich to city locations and otherworldly realms. The expansion presents a revised sequence of scenarios that change locations, treacheries, and encounters while keeping the campaign’s narrative framework. Gameplay uses the living card game’s investigator deckbuilding and scenario resolution: players explore locations, resolve skill tests, manage resources and health/sanity, and confront enemies and treacheries driven by scenario cards. The box adds new scenario cards and player cards that alter challenges and upgrade investigators, plus organizational components to store the full campaign.
