Call to Adventure

Players build a fantasy character by collecting origin and trait cards, facing challenges, and confronting adversaries to accumulate destiny points. Each turn a player either takes a trait from the tableau or attempts a challenge, choosing one of two paths for that encounter. Challenges have difficulties resolved by rolling carved runes; owning relevant abilities grants extra rune rolls, while failures grant experience that can be spent to retry tougher obstacles. Progression leads to increasingly difficult challenges and final adversaries, and certain outcomes steer a hero toward light or dark paths. The highest total destiny score at game end wins.

No és l'estil de joc que m'esperava. Les cartes intenten recrear una història èpica i difícilment això s'aconsegueix. A més a més la mecànica és molt simple i la interacció és pràcticament 0. El millor que té és l'art de les cartes. Però tota la resta fa sigui un joc que no recomanaria com a primera compra. Si algú em proposés per jugar-hi li diria que sí com a favor, no per ganes explícitament. He provat 2 partides a 2 jugadors, 1 a 4 jugadors i 1 en solitari.
