Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition) – Lair of the Wyrm
Adds five new quests that can be played as a short mini-campaign or inserted into an existing campaign to expand the adventure. Introduces two new hero characters with distinct abilities: a combat-focused warrior who can reroll missed attacks, and a mage who manipulates fatigue to recover and empower himself. Provides new monstrous threats for the Overlord, including a dragonlike lieutenant, small fire imps, and flying hybrid sentinels, plus a new Overlord class (Punisher) that punishes hero advances with abilities that exploit weakness and trade pain. Includes scenarios such as rescuing survivors and defending valuable resources, and integrates with the companion Road to Legend app.

No — Rumor cards are not used when playing the Lair of the Wyrm mini campaign (page 1).
How do we choose the next quest during campaign phases?
You skip the "Choose Next Quest" step of the Campaign phase and play the four quests in the specific order given by the mini-campaign rules (page 1).
What starting XP and gold do heroes and the overlord get at the start?
At setup each hero receives 4 experience points’ worth of Class cards and 100 gold, and the overlord receives 4 experience points’ worth of Overlord cards (page 1).
When we travel between scenarios, where do heroes begin their travel?
During each travel step heroes always begin travel from the quest they just completed (page 1).
What happens if a quest reward gives a Relic someone already owns?
If a quest rewards a Relic that is already in another team's possession, the rewarded player may take that Relic from the other team; if the rewarded team already owns the Relic, each player on that team instead receives 1 XP (page 1).
Do players get extra XP or items after each quest?
Yes — every player receives 1 XP at the end of each quest (even if they lost); if the heroes win they may choose one hero to receive a random Shop Item card, and if the overlord wins he receives 1 additional XP (page 1).
