Jugurtha: Guerrilla Warfare in Numidia

Two historical engagements from the Jugurthine War (112–105 BC) are recreated on the table: the fight at the Muthul River (109 BC) and the action at Cirta (106 BC). Players command opposing forces with distinct tactics; Numidian units are light, fast, and geared toward hit-and-run and maneuver, while the Roman side relies on heavier, more disciplined formations. Gameplay emphasizes on-field maneuver, screening, ambushes, and the challenges of conducting and countering guerrilla-style operations within an ancient-battle wargame framework. Designed as an expansion for the Great Battles of History series, it integrates with the main system and includes historical scenarios and unit compositions.
