CAESAR: The Great Battles of Julius Caesar – The Civil Wars 48-45 B.C.

A series of five historical battles from the Roman civil war of 48–45 B.C. are reconstructed using the GMT Great Battles of History ruleset. Players command Roman and opposing forces across individual scenarios—Pharsalus, Dyrrhachium-Lesnika, Ruspina, Thapsus, and Munda—managing troop formations, maneuver, and combat through the system’s turn sequence and combat resolution mechanics. Each scenario focuses on operational decision-making: army deployment, timing of attacks, command control, and exploitation of terrain and unit types to achieve victory conditions derived from the historical engagements.
