La Bataille de France, 1940

Tactical simulation of the German 1940 invasion of France and the Low Countries, using the A las Barricadas!–derived War Storm Series system with adaptations for World War II. Players command company- and battalion-level forces—infantry, tanks, artillery, anti-tank weapons, and aircraft—across modular isomorphic maps and play through multiple historical scenarios. The game uses leader activations, simultaneous-style execution, and a phased turn structure (command, initiative, activation, marker removal) with turns representing 12–15 minutes and hexes of roughly 150–200 meters. Scenarios present combined-arms assaults, defensive actions and evacuations; rules cover entrenchments, fortifications, minefields, roadblocks, artillery and air support, and many special actions. Moderate complexity with strong solitaire suitability.
