Sheepland
Players act as shepherds on an island, moving along roads, placing fences and guiding sheep between adjacent regions to influence where flocks accumulate. On a turn each player takes three actions (must move their shepherd at least once): move the shepherd, move one sheep across a road, or buy a terrain tile from the stack next to their current location. Buying tiles is an investment in terrain types rather than claiming specific regions; tiles score at game end based on how many sheep occupy regions of that terrain. Fences are placed at rest stops when shepherds leave them, gradually locking off parts of the map and triggering tile races for fenced-off, sheep-filled regions. A single black sheep acts as a higher-value, semi-random piece that can move between regions unless fenced in. Final scoring combines points from terrain tiles and remaining coins after twenty fences end the round.

Evan7.2 This is a very fast stocks game. Essentially, you have a map that's divided into different terrain types. Each space on the map has some numbered spaces and starts with a sheep token. On your turn you get three actions, which can be, buy a stock tile picturing one of the terrain types, move a sheep from the region on one side of your player marker to the other, or move your marker. At the end of the game, each stock is worth $1 per sheep token sitting in that terrain type, and an additional $2 if the black sheep token that bounces around the board ends it's movement in that terrain. The stock tiles get increasingly expensive as players buy them. Additionally, when you move you can step adjacently for free or teleport anywhere for $1. Players start with a small pile of money, and never get more, and what's more, money is points, so deciding what to spend when is an interesting and dynamic puzzle. What's more is once a player moves off a space, that space is closed for the rest of the game, so you really feel like you are fencing in your sheep as you play. Fantastic theme, fantastic bits, lots of interesting choices in a short playing yet satisfying experience. If you like Paris Connection, Chicago Express or American Rails I highly recommend trying this game out. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :star: Multiple plays stay interesting :star: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::star::star::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
Fernando7.0 1 partida en Jesta 2016. Me recuerda al Catán, al ser una isla con los mismos tipos de terrenos, aunque el juego es distinto. Me gustó más que la mayoría que probé en Jesta, quizás de los que más.
