Players take the role of rival spacefaring corporations vying to colonize a newly discovered planet. They roll and place dice representing ships into orbital facilities to gather resources, expand fleets, research alien technology, and claim territory on the planetary surface. Colonies are represented by tokens placed on hexes that influence nearby orbital stations, creating strategic links between orbital assignments and surface control. Alien technology cards modify dice and actions, enabling unconventional tactics as players compete to build the most colonies and control key facilities.
