The Artemis Project
Players compete to build thriving under-ice colonies on Jupiter’s moon by recruiting workers, harvesting energy and minerals, and constructing facilities that cling to the ice crust. Each round players roll dice and assign them to actions or locations, using different worker types (Pioneers, Engineers, Marines, Stewards) to explore caverns, defend against threats, and operate machinery. Buildings are acquired through bidding and used to develop resource engines and long-term benefits. Expeditions allow cooperative or competitive ventures for rewards, while limited resources and environmental hazards force tactical placement and timing of dice to advance the colony and hinder rivals.

Evan4,6 This is a dice as workers game, where you roll at the start of the round, then one at a time place. Some of the action spaces re-order from lowest to highest, in which case it has a mechanism of a limited number of resources players deplete as actions resolve. Other action spaces want high value dice in the case of bidding for buildings, or trying to contribute the most pips to completing the challenge cards. Turns run fairly predictably, which is probably good given that not watching other people can result in losing out on the actions you want, although missing out gives you a step on a compensation track that has decent payouts. It's a solid game, and I enjoyed my play, although nothing about it really stands out from other games and I'm not feeling the urge to get it back to the table. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ☆ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ☆ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★★★☆☆ Raw enjoyment
