Players compete in a trick-taking card game where each trick represents a story and untold stories score minimally. On a turn, players play cards to win tricks or play cards for their follower value to recruit followers instead of contesting the trick. Recruited followers can be matched with stories to score points, and inspiring all followers yields a substantial bonus. Some follower cards change the trump suit when played, so the trump can shift multiple times and players must adapt their tactics as the round evolves.
