Cosmic Pioneers

Players take the role of starship commanders traveling through a jumpgate to the Tau Ceti system, where eleven habitable planets await colonization. Each player begins with a ship and a commander with a unique ability, then explores the system, upgrades their ship, and deploys colonists to claim planets contested by other players and alien inhabitants. The game uses area control and awards victory points for controlling planets. Before play, a scenario is selected, two alien factions are chosen, and the planets are arranged randomly on a hex-based board, creating different layouts and hazards for each game.
