In the Roman Empire, players take the roles of gladiators seeking honor, fame, and survival in the arena. Players select actions to move their figures, use combat cards to power abilities and absorb damage, customize their gladiators and decks, and bid for arena equipment. Combat relies on tactical decisions rather than dice rolls, with different skills and deck compositions creating varied matchups. Victory comes through earning the most victory points or being the last gladiator standing. This edition includes eight metal miniatures—four gladiators and four animals—and a revised English rulebook.
