Cross Bronx Expressway

Competitive socio-economic city builder set in the South Bronx from 1940 to 2000, with collective loss conditions. Players control asymmetric factions pursuing individual goals while cooperating to keep the borough viable. An event-card system determines turn order, and players spend resources to build infrastructure and organizations, form coalitions, address social challenges, and manage debt. Victory points are scored throughout the game, but all players can lose if the borough’s viability collapses.
