Hard City

Players take the roles of Hard City police officers or, in solo/versus play, the villain controlling waves of mutants. The game unfolds across scenario-based episodes set in a rainy, neon-lit 1980s city where officers spend action points to move, shoot, escort civilians, and use character abilities while the antagonist uses a card-driven system to spawn, move, and attack with mutant hordes. Matches and campaigns present distinct objectives and setups; episodes are playable individually and form a linked story. Play emphasizes tactical positioning, resource management, cooperative coordination against escalating threats, and asymmetric play when one player runs the villainous forces.
