Antiquity

Players lead a medieval Italian-style civilization and pursue one of several victory conditions—population, trade, conquest, or city building—by selecting a patron saint that shapes scoring. Gameplay centers on managing an evolving economy and expanding cities while harvesting and transporting resources. Advanced buildings unlock new options each turn, but local land degrades as resources are used, forcing players to push farther afield for wood, grain, olives and fisheries. Different strategies demand distinct approaches to growth, movement and conflict, and the game ends when a player reaches their chosen goal or the landscape is exhausted.

A bit too ugly and fiddly for my taste. The only Splotter I've disliked this far as I felt it was a bit multiplayer soltaire in the start, which is something I didnt feel with TGZ, FCM or Indonesia which are three games I love.

2-3 players Least interactive Splotter, maybe (up to a point, eh !), one of their best designs, even if it suffers a tiny weeny bit about replayability compared to their other titles
