A collectible card game that recreates the major events and characters from the cinematic adaptation of a well-known fantasy trilogy. Players build decks of Free Peoples or Shadow cards and stage the Fellowship’s journey from the Shire toward Mount Doom while opponents marshal forces and hazards drawn from the enemy side. Gameplay uses a hand-filling mechanic rather than single-card draw and resolves combat through incremental wounds: characters accumulate limited wounds before elimination, and those wound points also fuel special actions instead of using a tap mechanic. Playing Free Peoples cards generates Twilight points that the opponent spends to play Shadow cards, producing an interactive resource flow between players.
