Twilight Struggle: Red Sea – Conflict in the Horn of Africa

The United States and the Soviet Union contest influence in the Red Sea and Horn of Africa during the 1970s Cold War realignment. Two players use a card-driven system to conduct coups, deploy influence, and trigger historical events across the region’s countries. Play focuses on area control, timing of operations, and managing a shared deck of cards that can be used for competing or event-driven actions. The design compresses the scope and playtime of the parent system for shorter sessions while remaining compatible with cards from the larger game.
