Barragoon

Two players alternate moving tiles and manipulating central multi-faced control pieces to capture opponent tiles or restrict the opponent’s moves. The control pieces show different symbols on each side; the currently uppermost symbol determines which directions tiles may move or are blocked. Captured control pieces may be redeployed to any empty space, allowing players to block, attack, or rescue their own tiles. Whenever a tile is captured, two additional control pieces are placed on the board, progressively crowding the play area and increasing both the risk of immobilization and opportunities for tactical combinations. A player loses when no movable tiles remain.
