Characters gain experience, upgrades, and new abilities across campaigns, enabling evolving strategies and narrative choices. Rules emphasize simple mechanics that support cinematic, improvisational plays—teleporting, system manipulation, and risky maneuvers are common tactics as the crew cooperates to survive and complete missions while the antagonist creates obstacles.
