Players take the roles of literati and artisans in Ming‑era Jiangnan, traveling the region to gather inspiration and develop works in literature, calligraphy, painting and the performing arts. The game combines worker placement with action‑tile bag‑building: players send agents to locations, collect resources and influence patrons, then draft and refine compositions to present at the capital. Actions and patronage shape trends; players balance following current fashions versus steering tastes to create lasting masterpieces. Playable solo or with up to four players, it supports single scenarios or linked campaigns and emphasizes engine development, strategic placement, and timing of public presentation.
